PART 2

OS TRÊS PORQUINHOS / THE THREE LITTLE PIGS

Seguiram caminhos diferentes.

Once upon a time there were three little pigs who left their mother’s home. Each would build their own home. They went different ways.

The first little pig built his house out of straw. It was soon ready, and he went to sleep.

A wolf, who wanted to eat the pig arrived and said: “Open the door or I will tear down this house with a single blow.”

O porquinho não abriu. O lobo soprou e derrubou a casa. O porquinho fugiu.

The little pig didn’t open. The wolf blew and tore the house down. The little pig ran away.

The second little pig made its home out of tree branches. It was soon ready, and he went to sleep.

Outra vez veio o lobo.

Again came the wolf: “Little Pig, open the door or I’ll blow and knock everything to the ground.” But the little pig ran away and hid. And the wolf wanted to know: “Where is this little pig?”

The third little pig built his house out of bricks. There went his brother and the wolf too.

He decided to go down the chimney, but the fireplace was lit and he left on fire.

The wolf went away and the little pigs lived happily in their brick house.
